How to check your status, step by step

Log in to eCitizen
Sign in to the same eCitizen account you used to apply.

Open the DCI service
Go to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Police Clearance Certificate / Certificate of Good Conduct service.

Open your application
Find your application and read its current status — it will show whether it is still processing or ready.

Download when ready
When the status shows the certificate is ready, download it from eCitizen and check that your name and ID details are correct.

Processing usually takes a few weeks, though it varies. If it has clearly passed the timeline shown on your application, follow up through the official channel listed on the DCI service rather than through an agent.
